HAPPY
QUILTER'S OF ST. JOHN'S
Quilting
has been an ongoing activity at St. John's throughout the years.
The current Quilter's Guild started up in the mid 1980's as a
mission project and has been going strong ever since.

In
2001, over 2,000 quilts were made for needy families. Most were
sent to CLWR (Canadian Lutheran World Relief) and distributed
worldwide; but some were given out locally through the Salvation
Army, the Bernadett McCann House (a shelter for women and children),
or the Pregnancy Support Group.

The
Happy Quilter's of St. John's meet every Wednesday from 9:00am
to 2:30pm. They have a lot of fun in Christian fellowship and
enjoy giving their time and talent so other people can stay warm.
